Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, why it is used, and the limited situations in which another party may receive it. By using Crosby County Court Docket, you agree to these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies any result. We do not keep a local log of those search terms.

Messages and Contact Submissions

If you send us a message, we keep it only as needed to answer and operate the site. We disclose it outside our organization only when the law requires disclosure.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the site may automatically receive technical details about the visit:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand aggregate traffic, including popular pages and where visits end. You may block cookies through your browser, although doing so can change how portions of the site work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
  • Sending your search requests to the right partner service
  • Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
  • Tracking down and fixing technical issues
  • Showing ads that may line up with your interests

No Court-Record Data on File

We do not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. Crosby County Court Docket publishes general directions to the District Clerk, County Clerk, trial courts, and re:SearchTX. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into reports about other people.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes shown on some pages. A query submitted there is governed by that company's privacy policy rather than this policy. We do not control a partner's retention or disclosure practices, so review its policy before entering a search.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Crosby County clerk pages, Texas court portals, legal-aid resources, re:SearchTX, or outside search services. Once you follow a link, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before providing personal information.

Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:

  • Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
  • Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
  • Ad networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it

How We Protect Your Data

We use customary safeguards for information collected through the site. No internet service can guarantee complete security, however, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A report that a minor supplied information will be reviewed and handled as applicable law requires.

Your Data Rights

Any right concerning personal data depends on the law that applies to the visitor and the request. The Texas Public Information Act does not make this private website a government records custodian. Texas Government Code § 552.0035 instead provides that access to information collected, assembled, or maintained by or for the judiciary is governed by applicable law and court rules. The Texas courts Open Records Policy explains a further distinction: Rule 12 addresses judicial records, while records filed in a court case are governed by other law and rules. Subject to applicable law, a person may ask us to:

  • Describe personal information associated with that person that we hold
  • Correct information shown to be inaccurate
  • Delete information when retention is not required or otherwise permitted
  • Honor an available opt-out from a covered form of processing

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this policy. A revision becomes available on this page with an updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.

Effective date: September 7, 2026
