Why We Built This Site
Public access in Texas begins by identifying the court because Crosby County does not have one custodian for every case. District Clerk Shari Smith maintains 72nd District Court records, while County Clerk Tammy Marshall handles the County Court categories documented by the Office of Court Administration. Municipal and justice-court clerks keep their own files, and South Plains Foster Care Court #2 has a separate posting route. This site arranges those official contacts, search paths, request steps, and access limits so readers can begin with the correct office.
What You Will Find Here
- Record requests: steps for asking the correct clerk for court records or certified copies
- Case lookups: practical use of a name or case number in a case search, including the limits of statewide coverage
- Docket guides: local routes for finding and understanding Crosby County criminal dockets and civil dockets
- Court dates and settings: guidance for reading the court calendar and confirming a setting with the court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Texas court, clerk, or government agency. Those limits matter:
- No official docket sheet or case file can be retrieved through us
- Only a court may schedule, reschedule, or reset a hearing
- We have no authority to amend, seal, or remove a docket entry
- Certified dockets, orders, and other court documents must come from the custodian
- We do not offer legal advice or apply the law to an individual case
- Current fees, contacts, and settings must be confirmed with the official office
An official or certified copy must be issued by the clerk or court holding the case. This resource can identify a likely custodian, but it cannot supply the document.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. They operate their own services and set any applicable prices. We may receive a referral fee when a visitor follows one of those tools and purchases a service. That support helps keep the reference material available, but we neither set provider charges nor control their search results.
